China's swimming team has arrived in Incheon, South Korea, to prepare for the upcoming water polo competitions at the Asian Games.

Two gold medals are up for grabs.

First off, the women's event will kick off at the Dream Parks Aquatics Centre on September 20.

Six teams are participating, including Singapore, China, Hong Kong of China, Kazakhstan, Japan and Uzbekistan.

China and Kazakhstan took gold and silver respectively in the 2010 Asian Games.

Both teams are medal favourites.

Men's water polo will begin on September 25.

Seven teams have been divided into two groups based on their rankings in previous Asian Games.

China will meet with third-seed Japan in Group B, along with Kuwait, while top-seed Kazakhstan will clash with fourth-seed South Korea in Group A, along with Singapore and Hong Kong.

China, Kazakhstan and Japan are all in medal contention for the men's events.

China is sending a large squad to Incheon this year.

More than 1,300 athletes and officials will participate in all but one of the 36 sports at the Games, between September-19 and October 4th.
