3 prison escapees wanted after killing guard

Police in Harbin are hunting three inmates who fled on Tuesday morning after killing a guard at a detention center, local newspaper the New Evening News reported.

The three male prisoners, all wearing jail uniforms, escaped from a detention center in Yanshou County, northeast China's Harbin City around 6am today.

A manhunt has been launched for the escaped convicts Gao Yulun, Li Haiwei and Wang Damin, the report said.
