A new smartphone application helps diabetes patients monitor their glucose level and get advice from medical professionals.
The U-Diabetes app allows patients to keep track of their glucose level by imputing data. The app will alert users when their glucose level is close to falling out of the normal range. Professionals will provide lifestyle tips on exercise and diet to help patients.
The app is available for both Apple and Android smartphones.
As of last year, about 115 million people in China had diabetes. The figure is expected to grow 4 percent annually.
