The sales of new energy vehicles in Beijing remained low in the first half of this year, Beijing Evening News reports.
According to a midyear conference on new energy cars on Saturday, only 331 electronic cars had been registered in the capital by the end of this June, taking up only 3.5% of over 9000 plate numbers offered since this February.
However, the total production and sales volume surged over 20,000 during the first six months in the whole country, increased to 2.2 times on that of the same period in last year.
