Downstairs neighbor saves suicide jumper stuck on window

A woman attempted suicide by jumping out of her window on the 12th floor at around 1pm on July 13, 2014 in west China's Chengdu, however was saved by her downstairs neighbor.

The local news website newsscc.org reported this incident, stating a man surnamed Xu, who lives on 11th floor, heard a big noise outside his window and surprisingly found his upstairs neighbor stuck in the window fence.

Then he grabbed her feet immediately and discovered her suicidal tendency and called the police after a short conversation.

The woman was rescued later by firefighters with only minor bruises.

Residences who live nearby in the neighborhood highly praised Xu as "the best neighbor of Chengdu".

According to the police investigation, the woman jumped after fierce family disputes.
