Police detained Hong Kong actor Roy Cheung for possessing and taking drugs at a Beijing hotel on July 2, the Beijing News reported on Thursday.
Police found 1.15 grams of marijuana in the 51-year-old's luggage at the hotel. Cheung tested positive for marijuana and confessed, the report said.
Cheung is best known on-screen for his roles as Triad gangsters in a number of films. He has appeared in the third, fourth and sixth installments of the famous Hong Kong crime film series, "The Young and Dangerous," and in the second installment of the internationally acclaimed "Infernal Affairs" trilogy.
