Highschool heroes take re-scheduled gaokao after recovering from injuries

Education authorities in Jiangxi province have been preparing to organize a separate college entrance exam for two high school students who were injured while stopping a knife attack on a bus on July 2 and July 3, CCTV reported on Monday.

Liu Yanbing and Yi Zhengyong, labeled heroes after suffering injuries while protecting people on a bus in Yichun, Jiangxi province, from a knife wielding assailant, missed the college entrance exam, or gaokao, in early June, since they were still recovering from their respective injuries.

The pair will take the exam, which was prepared with backup test-questions, under normal anti-cheating checks.
