A five-story residential building collapsed, killing one person and injuring at least four others on Friday morning in Zhejiang Province, the local government said.

Five people had been pulled out of the rubble after the collapse in Fenghua City with one person being pronounced dead in hospital, according to a government news briefing.

Rescue work was ongoing as two more people were still trapped.

The building had been inspected and rated as dangerous last year, the government said at the briefing.

The incident is being investigated, the government said.
