China will accelerate the urbanization process, Premier Li Keqiang said on Wednesday in Beijing.
The country will turn 100 million rural people into urban residents in the near future, construct equivalent housing and other facilities for them, and guide them to settle in nearby western or central areas of China.
The household registration system, or hukou, will also be reformed gradually to give migrant families better access to education and health care services.
