9 seriously injured in eatery explosion in Guangdong

Nine people were seriously injured and 15 slightly hurt in an explosion around noon on Monday at a restaurant in Dongguan, in south China's Guangdong Province, according to Southern Metropolis Daily.

The explosion occurred on the fourth floor of a restaurant in the Zhongqiao Building on Qifeng Road. Ambulances are rushing to the scene for rescue.

The cause is under further investigation.
