"The National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) fully supports the central leading team on overall reforms headed by President Xi Jinping," Lyu Xinhua, spokesman for the annual session of the CPPCC National Committee, said at a press conference.

Lyu said the CPPCC National Committee will pay great attention to advice offered by its special committees, comprised of leading experts in various fields, to help deliver China's wide-ranging reform plans outlined during the Third Plenum of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Reform is an enterprise of the whole society and involves the interests of many parties, and the CPPCC will perform its duties and contribute ideas to encourage members to better understand and support the reforms, Lyu said.

He urged different functional departments to come up with detailed plans and measures to make sure the reform blueprint be translated into reality in an orderly manner.

The annual session of CPPCC National Committee is set to open Monday afternoon.
