Shanghai's Internet speed, previously labeled "fake broadband" because of its slow speed, topped a nationwide survey for 2013, a top Internet service provider said.
The average speed in Shanghai touched 5.4 megabits per second (MB/s) last year, followed by Beijing's 4.17 MB/s and Fujian Province's 3.93 MB/s in a national Internet ranking list, ChinaCache said yesterday.
Nasdaq-listed ChinaCache offers CDN (content delivery network) services in 120 cities in China with 12,000 services, which makes its data reliable on real Internet speed in the Chinese mainland.
