China, Vietnam to push cooperation after meeting

Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao met in Nanning on Monday with Nguyen Thien Nhan, president of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Nhan was invited to attend the second China-Vietnam Youth Gala, held from Nov. 24 to 27.

Li noted that China and Vietnam have the same political system, common ideals and a similar development path.

He also expressed hope that the two sides can carry out the important consensus reached by their leaders, push forward mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas, cement a cooperative partnership and jointly promote the development of socialism.

Nhan said Vietnam is willing to deepen cooperation with China, including through youth exchanges, so as to advance bilateral ties.
