A four-month-old baby in a stroller was stolen from his home Sunday in Songjiang District while his parents were busy with their breakfast stall on the first floor.
The incident happened in Songjiang's Sijing area.
Most of the family members, who are migrant workers from Anhui Province, were busy in the morning with their breakfast stall. The boy's mother and grandmother were busy making dumplings, while his grandfather and aunt were frying youtiao, or deep-fried dough sticks.
The boy was sleeping in a baby stroller at home.
When the grandmother went to check the baby about 9am, she found the stroller empty.
The apartment has doors in the front and at the back, and there is a chess room next to it, xinmin.cn reported. Police are investigating the case. No suspects have been detained.
