The Beijing Bus Group is planning to provide custom shuttle buses for office workers. Since August 11, the group has sent staff out to survey possible routes, the Beijing News reports.
According to an employee from the group, the custom buses will mainly target commuters who drive or take a taxi to work, and is expected to save them a lot of money.
The details of implementing the plan such as parking places will be discussed later. Since private cars and stalls have taken up most of the space near office buildings and residential areas, smaller buses may be used. The first shuttle routes will be made public in September.
