A 14-year-old girl in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, tried to buy a luxury car for her boyfriend for 380,000 yuan (US$61,976) buying a luxury car for her 16-year-old boyfriend, according to Supernews Space, a news program affiliated with Anhui TV Station.

The girl, Wang Fang, went to an Audi dealership in Zhengzhou, the provincial capital of Henan Province, and tried to use all her savings to buy an Audi A4 for her boyfriend on Sunday.

The salesman, named Tian Pan, refused to sell her the car and called police, fearing she would be cheated by her boyfriend.

Wang told authorities she met her boyfriend on the Internet and they had been lovers for three months. The boy said he would break up with her if Wang didn't buy a car for him.

Wang had been living in a residential school but had escaped, police said. Her parents, divorced for 8 years, hadn't seen her in 4 years but transferred 30,000 yuan to 40,000 yuan to Wang's bank account every year, police said. Wang also earned money doing part-time work.

The Audi dealership appealed to all automobile dealerships in Zhengzhou to refuse to sell a car to the girl.
