Nepal can bring its dream into reality by means of Chinese dream(2)

Commenting on the possibility of trilateral cooperation among Nepal, China and India, he urged the three countries to start negotiations at the diplomatic level.

The trio should sort out what they will complement and supplement each other. Once these processes are finalized, cooperation will possibly begin straight away, he said.

He even asked the governments of the three countries to seek technical assistance from regional and international organizations like the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) and the World Trade Organization ( WTO) if necessary to accelerate the cooperation.

He is of the view that China has technology, finance, competitiveness and above all, good experience in infrastructural development which Nepal does not have.

The industrilaist said "We must be ready to bring in Chinese investment as key of developing infrastructures such as sophisticated tourism, multipurpose storage hydro power projects, transportation, highways, mining industries, among others.''

Famous for his corporate social deeds, Khetan who has played vital role in the development of private sector, insisted that the Nepal government should start promoting service sector especially tourism to balance the foreign trade.

It is essential to establish separate wings under a special body to look after international economic cooperation with China, India, the European Union and other major countries, he said.

"We should establish branding and marketing outlets as 'Nepal House' in major cities of China and India to cater information on handicrafts, food culture, investment opportunities including the service of simplified visa processing," he added.
