Famed American filmmaker Oliver Stone, who judged the Golden Goblet Awards at the first Shanghai International Film Festival in 1993, will be back for the 16th Shanghai International Film Festival next month.

Stone, 67, will walk the red carpet to receive an outstanding achievement award at the festival's opening ceremony on June 15.

Seven of his representative films, including the acclaimed "Platoon," "Wall Street" and "Born on the Fourth of July" will be screened at the festival.

He will also interact with local fans and take part in the festival's Masters Class to share his filmmaking experiences with Chinese directors.

Stone won two Academy Awards for "Platoon" and "Born on the Fourth of July."
