Missing ex-boyfriend is Henan woman's most 'wanted' fugitive

A young woman held up a home-made "WANTED" sign with the face of her ex-boyfriend on it at Green City Square in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, last Monday.

The woman, who wished to use the pseudonym Li Min, began the relationship with her ex-boyfriend, surnamed Xu, in October 2011. In April, Xu called Li and said something urgent had come up and he needed her credit card and the phone that was linked to it. After getting the card and the phone, Xu disappeared.

A while later, Li received a statement from her bank showing a debt of about 100,000 yuan ($16,000).

"It wasn't until I laid eyes on the statement that I realized he had cheated me and stolen my money," Li said. "In fact, I didn't know too much about him."

Li eventually located Xu in June, and Xu agreed to pay the debt to the bank. However, he disappeared soon after and Li has been unable to contact him.
