Guang Xia, a construction company in Yunnan, withheld over eight million yuan worth of salaries for over 5 years from over 500 workers. All attempts to retrieve the money failed until 13 children appeared in front of the company on August 14.

The children asking for their parents' money received considerable attention, causing the municipal government of Dali in south China's Yunnan Province to hold a press conference on August 18 in which the workers received 3 million yuan.

Another 1.15 million yuan was delivered to the 13 children's parents on Tuesday, August 21.

Dali mayor Ma Zhonghua said that the rest of the money has been transferred to the Dali People's Court and that workers can be expected to be paid soon.
