Hard to get tickets for Beijing Ducks

After the Beijing Ducks grabbed the winning point against Guangdong Hongyuan during the China Basketball Association finals at Beijing's MasterCard Center Wednesday night, it has become almost impossible to get tickets, Legal Mirror reports.

Sources from Damai.cn, an online ticket vendor, said more than 425,000 online users were involved in its two rounds of ticket sales for the 5th game. Unfortunately, all the tickets sold out in less than 2 minutes.

However, the tickets on the black market are selling quickly and for high prices.

Many fans flocked to Taobao, China's largest online marketplace, to purchase tickets, but a search of the website revealed that prices for the tickets are three to ten times higher than their original price.

A scalper, surnamed Xu, stated that he purchased 19 tickets for the 4th game two days ago and sold at an 11, 000 yuan (1,746 US dollars) profit. For the game, Xu said confidently that the original 600 yuan tickets can be sold at more than 3, 000 yuan.

As reported, many scalpers gathered around the stadium on Friday morning, stopped passing vehicles and asked whether they had tickets to sell.

Scalpers are not expected to actually sell tickets before 17:00 Friday.

As to the ticket prices, many fans criticized that relevant departments should make efforts to crack down on ticket scalping and protect the fans.

With a 3-1 lead in the best of seven series, the Ducks are likely on their way to win the first title in the CBA history Friday night.
