(Ecns.cn) –A double-decker bus of love will run through downtown Shanghai on Christmas Eve, providing blind date opportunities for singles in the city, reported the Oriental Morning Post on Thursday.

The special route will pass by 15 bus stops and take approximately three hours. Each participant can choose to ride for up to five stops and have a casual chat with anyone that he or she takes a fancy to at first sight.

This is a new form of blind date activity that will hopefully ease the embarrassment of starting a conversation – especially for men – as the motion of the bus and the jubilant scenery on the way can help relax and sooth their states of mind, said Bai Naimu, a person in charge of the activity.

Bai revealed that the blind date is being organized by Kuamei.com, and the number of participants will be between 150 and 180. At each bus stop, there will be 30 to 40 passengers waiting to jump onboard the double-decker in search of that special someone.

Currently more than 350 people have applied for the activity. The organizer will only accept male participants between the ages of 23 and 40, and females between 20 and 38.
