(Ecns.cn)--With a tube dress, green silk stockings, red high heels, and a blond wig, 70-year-old Cao drew people's attention on October 4 while cross-dressing as Lady Gaga and singing on the street in Wuchang, Hubei Province.
"Singing is interesting. I hope to bring some fun to people in this way," said Cao, adding that he lives by himself without any children, thus singing has become the only way to kill time.
"Dressing up has turned me into a superstar," joked Cao, who started singing on the street in March this year and only stays at home on rainy days.
Cao said he can sing various songs, including foreign ones. "Though I am old, I indeed have fans," noted Cao. According to him, many foreigners have even asked to take photos with him.
In fact, Cao has been an Internet sensation for some time now. Videos of his performances were uploaded online as early as April, winning warm praises from many web users.
