(Ecns.cn)--Li Xiang, a reporter for the local television broadcaster in Luoyang, Henan Province, was found stabbed to death Sunday in front of the door of his company's backyard.
Li, 30, was reportedly murdered on his way back home from a karaoke bar.
According to the security guard, the murderer was rather cruel. Li had been stabbed more than 10 times and his laptop was stolen.
A preliminary investigation from the police showed that it was a murder-robbery, but the motive is still unclear.
Li's colleagues speculated that it might have been a deliberate revenge killing since Li had released many reports on suspects and crime cases.
The news was a heavy blow to Li's fiancée. They were planning to get married in October.
