(Ecns.cn)! In the remote mountainous area of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, a "cave grandpa" who has lived deep in the mountainside for almost three decades has become a local celebrity, according to the Nanguo Morning News.

Attracted to his leisurely and almost legendary lifestyle in these modern times, many tourists have started to view the man as a local "landmark." Covered by long'an and wampee fruit trees and little hard to find, his cave is now a must-see scenic spot.

Normally, Zhang wakes up early in the morning and walks to the foot of the mountain to tend his vegetables, accompanied by his dog. Most of the time, he sends extra food grown by his bare hands to local villagers below the mountainside.

"I don't think you can get just how happy I have been on this remote mountain," Zhang sighed to those who came to visit him.
