Juneyao Airlines has promised to seriously 'deal with' the problem as soon as the investigation concludes.

(Ecns.cn)!A near airplane collision on August 13 at the Shanghai Hongqiao Airport between Qatar Airways and the Shanghai-based Juneyao Airlines has recently stirred criticism of the latter, with claims that it had lied and put both airplanes in danger.

Due to a gas shortage, the Qatar Airlines plane QR888 sent out a 'Mayday' signal asking for an urgent landing that day. In response, the airfield ordered the Juneyao plane HO1112 to follow a collision-avoidance order. Yet this order was immediately refused by the Juneyao plane, which claimed that it was also running out of gas.

This behavior has irritated many web users, who have criticized the irresponsible airplane for lying about its gas shortage emergency.

A preliminary investigation conducted by CAAC East China Regional Administration revealed on Wednesday that contrary to the self-proclaimed gas storage that could only last for 4 minutes, the Juneyao Airlines plane had as long as 1 hour left of gas. Juneyao Airlines has already suspended the entire crew from the troubled airplane, said the Beijing News on Thursday.

No further detailed information concerning the near accident has been revealed yet. But Juneyao Airlines has promised to seriously 'deal with' the problem as soon as the investigation concludes.
