In the latest interview with W.E. Talk, Robert Chard, retired professor at St Anne's College, Oxford University, and guest chair professor at Department of History, Peking University, discussed China's cultural outreach through works like the animated film Ne Zha and the video game Black Myth: Wukong.

These cultural products have gained popularity not only for their technical excellence but also for sparking foreign players' interest in Journey to the West and other aspects of traditional Chinese culture, Chard believes. He noted that as players explore games and watch films, they actively seek to understand the original works behind them, thereby gaining insight into the wisdom embedded in Chinese culture. He emphasized that non-traditional channels such as video games and animation serve as vital means for promoting Chinese culture worldwide.
