On Friday, 174 passengers arrived and 228 passengers were sent from Amdo Station in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region. The station transported 402 passengers in a single day, ushering in its Spring Festival rush.
Amdo Station is located in Amdo County, deep in the grasslands of northern part of China's Xizang Autonomous Region and at the foot of the Tanggula Mountains. At an altitude of 4,702 meters, it is the highest manned railway station in China.
