(ECNS) -- A forest with thousand-year-old trees alongside Xin'an River in Huangshan city, Anhui Province, received a touch of "beauty therapy" by having moss removed, trunks set, and healing agent applied to tree surfaces.
A total of 807 ancient trees make up the forest. Fourteen of them, with over 100 DBH, have thrived here for over 500 years, marked as national first-class ancient trees.
The local government has recruited experts to oversee forest preservation to help these ancient trees grow healthier.
