The Chinese capital has recorded no new coronavirus infections for the past 30 days, as it continues to report zero domestic infections or cases from overseas on Saturday.

Beijing's Xinfadi wholesale market, hit by a coronavirus outbreak back in June, has fully resumed business on Sunday. The market is expecting to return to past level of supply by the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays.

On Thursday, Beijing reopened to passengers flying directly from eight countries: Thailand, Cambodia, Pakistan, Greece, Denmark, Austria, Sweden and Canada.

The reopening comes more than six months after the COVID-19 outbreak in the country and its successful containment.
