The Chinese Embassy in Israel issued a notice on Sunday saying that, effective May 16, 2025, Israel's travel risk levels have been adjusted, with some areas designated as red (extremely high risk) and others as orange (high risk).

The red alert zones specifically include north of Nahariva-Safed, north and east of Sea of Galilee, south of Ashkelon and west of Netivot.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises Chinese citizens to avoid all travel to these areas for the time being. Those already in these regions should evacuate or relocate to safer areas as soon as possible. In case of emergencies, individuals should contact local police and the Chinese Embassy in Israel immediately.

The embassy said that the orange zones cover the rest areas in Israel. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urges Chinese citizens to exercise caution when traveling to these areas. Those already there should closely monitor the situation, remain highly vigilant, strengthen security measures and emergency preparedness, and ensure personal and property safety. In emergencies, they should promptly contact local authorities and the Embassy.
