China will work with all parties to implement the important consensus reached at the just-concluded BRICS, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and Group of 20 (G20) leaders' meetings, and turn commitments into deliverables, a foreign ministry official said on Monday.

The announcement came as Wang Xiaolong, director-general of the Department of International Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, briefed the press on the outcomes of the above-mentioned events in Beijing.

"The three meetings have sent out a clear message: multilateralism, solidarity and coordination are the best options to prevail over the current global challenges," Wang said.

Concerning the pressing task of fighting COVID-19, Wang said the leaders believe all parties must firmly support the leading role of the World Health Organization, improve the diagnosis and treatment of the coronavirus as well as the research and development of vaccines, and ensure equitable access to vaccines by making them global public goods.

Wang said the leaders were of the view that all parties must join hands to boost regional and global economic recovery, uphold the multilateral trading regime, and ensure the security and stability of supply chains.

"In particular, they recognized that efforts must be made to unlock the enormous potential of the digital economy," Wang added.

Going forward, Wang said the leaders say it is imperative to improve global economic governance, advance regional economic integration, and strengthen solidarity and cooperation among developing countries.

"For the leaders attending the three meetings, the ultimate goal is to ensure an inclusive, sustainable and resilient future," he added.

Saying the three meetings were a strong boost to multilateral cooperation and have lived up to the expectations of the international community, Wang noted that they will inject strong impetus into economic recovery, sustainable development, and the fight against the pandemic.

The three events were held from Nov. 17 to Nov. 22.
