NASA has officially upgraded the likelihood of Earth being hit by asteroid 2024 YR4.
NASA's Center for Near Earth Object Studies, or CNEOS, now lists the chance of a collision in 2032. The Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System, or ATLAS, telescope in Rio Hurtado, Chile, first discovered 2024 YR4 on Dec. 27, 2024.
