China sees travel surge as Spring Festival holiday concludes(1/3)

China's railways transported 16.454 million passengers on Feb. 3, a record high for the Spring Festival travel rush. On Feb. 4, the last day of the holiday, an estimate of 16.9 million passengers trips are expected, and an additional 2,196 passenger trains are planned to meet this demand.
