With a total length of 77.7 meters and a displacement of 3,611 metric tons, Xiamen University's research vessel Tan Kah Kee was put into operation in April 2017 to commemorate Tan Kah Kee, founder of the university. It opened for visitors in Hong Kong from Aug. 17 to 19.
