(ECNS) — Harbin Airport handled 150 international flights during the National Day holiday, a 41.5% increase from a year earlier, Heilongjiang Airport Group said Thursday.
The flights carried 13,836 passengers, up 19.7%. Across all the group’s airports, there were 4,358 aircraft movements, up 4.5%, and 634,000 passenger trips, up 4.9%.
Harbin Taiping International Airport maintained robust passenger flows through the holiday period.
It completed 3,452 aircraft movements, up 2.1% from a year earlier and served 535,000 passengers, up 2.9%.
Travel peaks fell on Tuesday and Wednesday, with an average of more than 510 flights and 79,000 passengers a day.
The airport kept stable services to destinations including Vladivostok, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, Yakutsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Krasnoyarsk, Blagoveshchensk and Yekaterinburg in Russia, as well as Tokyo, Seoul and Singapore.
All regional airports under Heilongjiang Airport Group saw rising passenger throughput.
Yichun Airport posted the biggest gain, with 74 flights and 7,202 passengers during the holiday, up 115.6% and 112.9% from a year earlier, respectively. Both were records.
