(ECNS) -- The 2026 Tongjiang "Border Super League" China-Russia Basketball Invitational kicked off on Saturday in Tongjiang City, Heilongjiang Province, featuring twelve teams from both countries competing over a seven‑day period.
The venue was electrified as Chinese and Russian players took to the court in high spirits, delivering thrilling, high level contests that energized the entire arena.
As a border port city, Tongjiang has in recent years leveraged sports events to drive urban development and deepen cultural exchanges with Russia. Building on this tournament, the city plans to further integrate culture and sports to facilitate people to people exchanges between the two nations.
