Chinese customs debunks rumors of coal import inspection delays starting April 1

(ECNS) -- China's General Administration of Customs (GAC) has refuted rumors circulating on some online platforms claiming that delayed inspections for imported coal would begin on April 1.

The rumors had sparked concerns and discussions within the industry, which will potentially lead to longer clearance times and reduced import volumes, said GAC.

In a statement posted on its official Weibo account, GAC urged businesses and relevant parties not to believe or spread unverified news to avoid unnecessary disruptions and losses.
