President Xi Jinping and presidents of the five Central Asian countries announce the official inauguration of the China-Central Asia Summit Mechanism

On May 19, the China-Central Asia Summit was held successfully in Xi’an.

The presidents of China and the five Central Asian countries agreed to take the opportunity of this summit to officially inaugurate the China-Central Asia Summit Mechanism, with China and Central Asian countries taking turns to host the biennial summit. The next summit will be held in Kazakhstan in 2025.

The presidents agreed to establish a permanent secretariat of the mechanism in China.
