Paper routers, property deeds and passports are among the hottest items for this year's Chinese Tomb-Sweeping Day on April 5, when millions of Chinese head to the cemetery to honor their ancestors by burning paper sacrifices.

An offerings shop owner at the Suihuishan Cemetery in Wuhan, Hubei province claimed she sold more than 30 paper routers in two hours.

While older shoppers still prefer traditional offerings like joss paper (ghost money), incense and chrysanthemums, young relatives are updating their loved ones' afterlife with modern technology, said the shop owner.

"This is the first time I've seen a router as an offering," said a customer surnamed Zhou, who picked one up for 10 yuan ($1.6). "My grandma never used a computer before, so I bought this for her so she could surf the Internet."

Other paper items such as property deeds, passports and passes for the "Heavenly Subway" are also popular among younger shoppers.
