  • Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Serbia from June 17. Serbia was the first CEE country to establish a strategic partnership with China.

  • Xi will then visit Poland as the second leg of the trip. Poland, among the first countries to establish diplomatic ties with new China, elevated the bilateral relationship to a strategic partnership in 2011.
