Top political advisor Yu Zhengsheng met with Polish Senate Speaker Bogdan Borusewicz in Beijing on Monday, and both sides voiced hope for further cooperation in all fields.

Yu, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), commended the development of bilateral relationship since the two countries established diplomatic ties 64 years ago.

He said during the meeting that the two countries' relations have entered a new stage of development after they forged a strategic partnership in 2011, noting that China cherishes traditional friendship and underscores the relationship with Poland.

China is willing to work with Poland to enrich their strategic partnership under the principle of mutual respect and equality, he added.

He briefed Borusewicz about the goals and tasks of China's economic and social reform and voiced hope to strengthen exchanges at all levels between the CPPCC National Committee and Polish Senate.

Borusewicz said the Polish senate is willing to step up concrete cooperation with China in all fields and advance all-around development of bilateral ties.
