The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Tuesday called on relevant sides in Thailand to maintain the country's stability through dialogue.

Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said at a regular press briefing that China is concerned about the current situation in Thailand.

As a friendly neighbor of Thailand, China sincerely hopes relevant sides in the country will take national interest as the priority to properly resolve differences through dialogue and consultation in order to avoid further unrest, Qin said.

Thailand's stability is not only in line with the fundamental interests of the Thai people, but also conducive to regional stability and prosperity, he added.

Thai opposition protesters on Tuesday stormed several more government ministries as part of their efforts to topple Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra's government.
