China is more promising after Party congress

Some young overseas Chinese businessmen asked me which country they should invest in. The answer is simple: investing in China.

When the financial turmoil swept over Asia in 1997, many foreign and Chinese enterprises withdrew from the region and people sold their houses. I reconstructed my old house into an eight-story building and gave two-story to each of my two sons. My youngest son even gave up the U.S. green card and resumed the identity as a permanent resident of Hong Kong. I was confident in the economic trend of Hong Kong after it returned to China.

Facts proved that I was right. China had not only successfully led Asian countries to overcome the financial turmoil but also made remarkable achievements, becoming the world's second largest economy. Its growth rate of GDP has been ranking in the forefront of the world.

We do not invest in China just because it has bright economic prospects. Most importantly, our roots are on this land.

We are optimistic about China after the 18th CPC National Congress because Chinese people are the wisest and the Communist Party of China is the ruling party good at summing up experiences.

Currently, the global economic recovery is weak, the profound impact of financial crisis is continuing and the European debt crisis is playing its role of destruction. Moreover, the U.S. Republican Party and Democratic Party are bickering with each other on the edge of "cliff" and leaders of eurozone are playing the "blame game."

The superiority of China lies in the social system, the strength and high efficiency of central government, while the Western social system shows a low efficiency and cohesion in the economic crisis and economic transformation.

The convening of the 18th CPC National Congress and smooth transition of leadership show that Chinese government can steadily master the overall political and economic situation based on the interests of the people and prudently deal with things in the unrest world.

The Party congress took "building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way" as the main objective of China in the next several years and proposed five tasks of comprehensively deepening structural reform, implementing innovation-driven development strategy, promoting strategic restructuring of the economy, accelerating the integration of urban and rural areas and enhancing the level of open economy. These measures provided a rare opportunity for the overseas Chinese businessmen like me and opened a vast space for the innovation and transformation of the business of overseas Chinese businessmen in China.

China is more promising after the 18th CPC National Congress. It will be smart to invest in China in various forms.
