Altogether 122 horse skeletons have been unearthed from the No. 3 Horse and Chariot Pit, one of a cluster of tombs, in the Central China’s Henan province since the excavation began on February 6 this year. Reporters have learned on Nov. 9 that the excavation ended and four chariots also have been unearthed. The cluster of tombs belongs to noble families of the Zheng State, a vassal state during the Spring and Autumn (770-476 B.C) and Warring States periods (475-221 B.C), near the city of Xinzheng.
