Students perform Sichuan Opera-inspired calisthenics, created by Peng Denghuai, at a school in Chengdu City, Southwest China’s Sichuan Province. The performance technique of "Bianlian", or face-changing, refers to when Sichuan Opera performers change masks in quick succession with a wave of the hand or by turning around. Peng is known for mastering the act and has established a new school of face-changing, named after himself. Peng says the new calisthenics aims to promote awareness of Sichuan Opera among the younger population. (Photo/VCG)
