Located atop a steep hill 5,000 feet above sea level, Castellucio is the highest village in the Apennine Mountain Range in central Italy. The village features lush, fertile plains that blossom with red poppies, violets, and rapeseed. Between late May and early July, visitors will find the plateau transform into a rainbow bursting with colors. (Photo/VCG)
