Colo, oldest gorilla in world captivity, dies in Ohio zoo at 60(1/6)

File photo of gorilla Colo. The world's oldest captive gorilla died in her Ohio habitat on Jan. 17, 2017, less than a month after she reached the milestone age of 60, the Columbus Zoo said. Colo, who was diagnosed with cancer last fall, died in her sleep overnight, zookeepers said. Colo was born at the zoo on Dec. 22, 1956. She eventually became a mother of three, grandmother of 16, great-grandmother of 12 and great-great-grandmother of three. (Photo/Agencies)
