Veteran Gu Chenkun, 85, and his wife He Guangying, 82, are married at a ceremony in Shibao Village, Zhongxian County, Southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality, Oct. 25, 2016. Gu left for the war in Korea in 1950 before having time to marry his sweetheart. Later, Gu returned to his hometown after being injured in the war, which left him paralyzed from the waist down. For more than 60 years, He has been taking care of Gu, who always wanted to make up for the long delayed wedding ceremony.
