An azemiops feae, a species of venomous snake, found at a nature reserve near the Three Gorges Reservoir in Yichang City, Central China’s Hubei Province. A forest ranger helped the almost frozen snake to recover in sunlight and it then disappeared into the forest. The most biologically stable zone in the reservoir area, the nature reserve is home to a great variety of rare plants and animals. (Photo: China News Service/Tan Jiayi)
